Manifesto
Our vision: to think and build an endogenous cyberstrategy for Africa.
The African Laboratory for Cyberstrategy Research was born from a simple observation: Africa rarely thinks cyberspace for itself, and almost never on its own terms.
We aim to change this by producing endogenous, rigorous and accessible strategic thinking that takes the continent as a starting point, not as an object of study.
Why this initiative?
Cyberspace has become a field of power in its own right, where the security, economy and sovereignty of nations are at stake. Africa is increasingly exposed to it, yet remains largely absent from doctrinal production.
This deficit of endogenous strategic thinking is not inevitable: it stems above all from the fact that we have not yet taken the time to study cyberspace in all its complexity. Filling this gap is our reason for being.
Our vision
To build, over the years, a reference corpus on African cyberstrategy: analyses, concepts and tools designed from the continent's realities.
To grow a community of researchers, practitioners and decision-makers able to carry this thinking into institutions and public debate.
We clearly have a deficit of endogenous strategic thinking on cyberspace, because we have never taken the time to study it in all its complexity.
